The Diazyme D-Dimer is used as an aid in the diagnosis and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) when used in conjunction with other clinical assessments. The product is a highly sensitive liquid stable latex enhanced immunoturbidimetric test kit, designed to work on most open clinical chemistry analyzers to provide rapid reliable results with reduced reagent cost. The assay provides reliable D-Dimer results from 0.23 to 8.0 µg/mL FEU with excellent precision (2.1% 1.5 µg/mL) and agreement with other D-Dimer methods with an R2 value of 0.9964, slope of 1.08, and y intercept of -0.0173.
